RESEREACH

AREAS

SLEEP-WAKE CONTROL

Sleep problem is pandemic in modern society. We aim to better understand the mechanism of sleep-wake control and pathophysiology of sleep disorders.

OPTOGENETICS

Brain function can be explored by stimulation or inhibition of specific neurons using optogenetics with light-senstive proteins and precise light control.

PSYCHIATRIC DISORDERS

Mental illness is barely undrstood, hence we investigate the pathophysiology and therapeutic tools for some psychiatric disorders, including autism, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer's disease

TRANSLATIONAL NEUROSCI.

There is a huge gap betwen basic knowledge in neuroscience and clinical practice in central nervous system diseases. We set out to fill this gap by pursuing disease-oriented research.
